Blue Jays Bullied By Bulldogs

The Marshfield Blue Jays travelled to Dixon, Tuesday for a match up with the Dixon Bulldogs. The Dixon team had 8 starting seniors, while the Jays oldest players were Juniors. The Jays just didn’t seem to be able to get their legs under them. There were several shots at goal, but none were successful. The Bulldogs scored 2 in the first half. That proved to be all the Jays would give up. The Jays didn’t let the Bulldogs score again in the second, but they went home with their first shut out of the season. Final 0-2.
The same held true for the JV team, although they did seem to have more conviction of play then the varsity team. Let’s hope that is the last time that happens this season.
The Blue Jays will travel to Bolivar this Friday for Tournament play. The first game will be Friday night at 4:30. The second game will be Saturday morning at 8:30. Let’s hope the team regains the conviction and vitality that they have shown throughout the rest of the season so that they can come home with victories. GO JAYS!!!
