Blue Jays Travel to Tiger’s Lair

The Marshfield Blue Jay’s traveled to Willard, Tuesday to take on the Tigers at their home field. The game was pretty equally matched with both teams fighting to score. The teams went to halftime without either one putting the ball in the box. It certainly wasn’t for lack of trying, both teams came out playing hard and with conviction. This speaks volumes about the improvement on behalf of the Blue Jays. They continue to keep the other teams at low points.
The second half was more of the same intense play. The Tigers were the one’s to score though, with only 12 minutes left in the game. That proved to be the only goal of the night. Once again the Jays have nothing to hang their head’s about. They continue to play older more experienced teams and get better with each game. Watch out next time, Tigers!!!
It was good to have Junior Adam Callaway back on the field after an absence from an injury at the Hillcrest game.

The JV team also played and for the first time this year just didn’t seem to have the vitality that they normally display. Everyone has an off day. The final score was 0-3, in favor of Willard. The JV Jays have a chance to redeem themselves this weekend at the Willard JV tournament. The first game is at 8:00 Saturday morning. Second game will be at 9:30. Not much time to regain their breath, but they are a strong team, and should do well. Go Jays!!!
