The Blue Jays soared into Springfield last night to confront the Central Bulldogs on the neutral ground at Cooper 2. The Jays started out a little slow, but eventually senior, Willis Zirschky drove the ball up the side and blasted one past a surprised keeper to put the Jays on the board. The Bulldogs answered back when sometime later they got one past the Marshfield keeper to tie the score. Then the Bulldogs scored a second goal to take the lead. That was not to stand though, as Colton Harden tied the game with a shot, that landed in the back of the Central box. The score at half was 2-2.
The second half had the Jays coming out and playing astronger game. Ethan Replogle got thegoal that pulled thejaysahead, with the assist going to Colton Harden. Next the dynamic combo of Zirschkycorner kick to Ethan Jernigan header, gave the Jays their fourth goal. The final goal of thematch came whenC.J.Obermaier booted one in thenet from an assist by Robert Martin. The Final score was 5-2. This is the 3rd win in a row fortheJays. Keeper Cory Dotson had 7 saves. Tuesday is Senior night at the home pitch for the Jays when they take on the Aurora Houn’ Dawgs. game time is 4:30. GO JAYS!
