Marshfield Blue Jays Soccer

MARSHFIELD – Perhaps the best thing to say is that it is good to have the opening game jitters out of the way. The first 5 minutes were even with chances for both sides, but after that, it was not. The first half ended with Ozark up 5-0. Although Marshfield had the wind to their back in the second half, Ozark still scored 4 more goals to make the final 9-0.

The JV team had a similar game, with the first half ending 4-0, and the game ending 10-0 in favor of Ozark.

Our next game is next Tuesday, September 7th at 4:30 p.m. at Springfield Catholic.

Additionally, MSHSAA announced today the new districts assignments. Class 2, District 9 will consist of the following boys’ soccer teams:

Bolivar High School
Hillcrest High School
Logan-Rogersville High School
Marshfield High School
Republic High School

This Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., a Fall Sports Parent Meeting is scheduled at the Marshfield High School Gymnasium. After a brief intro in the gym, each sport group will meet individually with their respective coaches.

Please plan on attending.

WHEN: Mon. – Fri. 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

**** Bring soccer cleats and shin guards, shorts, shirt, socks, etc.

**** Make sure to bring your completed physical forms!!!
