Jays Home Opener

MARSHFIELD – Perhaps the best thing to say is that it is good to have the opening game jitters out of the way. The first 5 minutes were even with chances for both sides, but after that, it was not. The first half ended with Ozark up 5-0. Although Marshfield had the wind to their back in the second half, Ozark still scored 4 more goals to make the final 9-0.

The JV team had a similar game, with the first half ending 4-0, and the game ending 10-0 in favor of Ozark.

Our next game is next Tuesday, September 7th at 4:30 p.m. at Springfield Catholic.

Well… bummer! Enough of that. Now what I saw was some spurts of great play. Yes, Nic is my nephew, but he was pummeled with shot after shot and just kept doing his absolute best! Very proud of him. Also, I heard people in the Ozark crowd talking about Nic’s skills which made me one proud aunt. Everywhere I looked, I seemed to see red hair in the midst of the action (good job, Colton). Evan – you played with more gusto than I’ve ever seen you do even at the club games this summer. Glad the first game is out of the way and you guys can now concentrate on your inevitable future wins. Can’t wait for an exciting season.
