Marshfield Boys Make Good In Memphis

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

CJ Obermaier and Willis Zirschky, both Marshfield Soccer Jays, got to come home with bragging rights from the John Talley Showcase in Memphis Tennesse. Both boys play for the Total Demize U19 team, that came home with the co-championship for the U19 Gold Division. Obermaier scored, the only goal, to win the second game of the tournament, while Zirschky scored one of the goals during a Shootout to determine who would play for 1st place. Bad weather cancelled the final game so both teams were declared co-champions. GREAT JOB BOYS!!!
The Total Demize team plays in the Heartland Soccer League in Olathe Kansas. According to the website Soccerincollege.com The Total Demize team is ranked#4 in the state, #8 in the Region and 96th in the Nation. Keep up the good work! We look forward to seeing them play back on the Jay’s pitch next Spring.

Congratulations in Order!

Congratulations to all the Marshfield Soccer players that participated in indoor and outdoor soccer leagues. It is encouraging to see so many players keeping their foot on the ball in the off season. From what I saw, it looks like when we get back together as the Blue Jays, we will be a team to contend with. Congrates to the Santos Team and the Total Soccer Team. Also special congratulations to Robert Martin, Kyle Cary and Willis Zirschky on making the Springfield Demize Reserve Team. They play before the Springfield Demize home games. Good Luck to all in the upcoming High School Season!

Marshfield Total Soccer Team

Those players that want to play indoor with the team need to contact Dee Zirschky at 417 759-6130 Practice will begin after the High School season is over. The fee for 1 indoor season, 1 outdoor season, practice field fees and coaching is $365.00. If the team wishes to play an additional indoor season they will have to pay the league fee themselves. There is also an additional fee of $60.00 for the team uniform, this includes 2 jerseys, 1- shorts and 1-pr. socks. We need to collect the uniform fees as soon as possible as they have already been ordered and paid for by the club. We ordered 16 of them, so far only 4 people have paid. After the initial 16 are gone the cost could go up because we will have to order more and not get the bulk discount we got from our initial order. So act now to insure you get the discounted price. I think we can all agree that our team has shown great improvement by playing through out the year so let’s continue the trend.
